Supplementing the need to create large-scale, physical artworks, Powell stems into a strictly digital universe using extremely basic air-brush tools and an early 2000s aesthetic.
Using Photoshop, 3D blender models, miscellaneous stock photos, and corrupted video game graphics, Powell’s hyper-pop surrealist collages explore ideas surrounding fear and intimacy (or lack thereof), identity crises, and the toxicity of modern online culture.
